PLAYING A FACULTY MEMBER AT "THE FLAMEL ACADEMY"
Faculty Members are not a "power gaming" choice, nor should anyone choose them because they think they will be "tougher" or "better at magic" than student characters.
Faculty are, in essence, DPC characters. They will receive direction from the refs about various things, and the player should actively try to encourage student characters to get involved with tasks and interactions. Rather than standing at the forefront of a party and trying to solve a problem yourself, a TFA Faculty Member should be stood at the back waiting to see what the students do, but be ready to step in if needed.
Ultimately, a faculty member should want to MAKE game for the students, not TAKE game from the students. We as a Game Team will ensure that faculty always feel involved in the game and have plenty to do!
If you have any questions regarding what is expected of Faculty members, please speak to Kelly or email us!
