Crafting at The Flamel Academy

Aside from rituals, the two other ways of creating new items at The Flamel Academy is via Technomany and Potion Making.

 

Technomancy
Technomancy is the weaving of magic with physical object. Enchanted weapons, clothing that helps a Magi focus their power, trinkets that can defend against curses... items such as these are within the realm of power of a Technomancer.

Potion Making

As one would imagine, potion making involves the blending of various ingredients to create potions, poisons, philtres and oils. At The Flamel Academy, flowers and herbs are part of potion making, but some magi also have the ability to draw the magical essence (or 'essentia') from things and force it into crystalised forms to be used in crafting, and this is particularly important for potion making.
