Nethelroi is a land that you can experience in two very different ways depending on where you visit and who you know. For most that enter the country without an invitation from someone from one of the Cardinal Baronies, you will find temperate, rain-filled forests with the occasional village built out of spruce wood and red granite stone. You will find people who have lived on the land of Nethelroi but never claimed to be part of its nation until very recently. People that grow up learning how to fight off the hungry fauna and natural predators of the land.

Holding an invitation in your hands, however, grants you access to the Nethade Spires of the Cardinal Baronies. Cities that do not expand outwards across the land but build upwards where they can, building from enchanted Cloudstone reminiscent of frosted ice blocks rather than stonework. These cities jut out of the forests, spied from miles away, like jagged spikes protruding from the land but full of a people once displaced.

The whole land is clouded, at all times, and many haven’t seen the actual moon and the stars for their entire lives due to the presence of the main inhabitants of the Cardinal Baronies. However there are a few “Brightpockets” created and maintained by the Baronies so that the comfort of the sun and the moon can be experienced should one wish to travel, and for farms who require a healthy dose of the sun to help their produce.
