ABOUT THE ORGANISER

My name is Kelly, often referred to as KJ or KJP by a lot of my friends. I have been larping since 2008 (though I had dipped my toe in before that time, at a local larp system a friend of mine attended!) when I began playing the Lorien Trust system. Since then I have attended all the 'big three' major larp fests at least once, and played or crewed so many smaller systems that I have lost count!

My first experience of running games came from organising sanctioned events within The Vale's game world, which then led onto myself and one of my very good friends setting up Future's End Larp Events Ltd (and, by association, Future's End LARP) in 2015.

Skipping forward to 2019, I felt I was in a good position to start running my own games, utilising ideas that I'd been sitting on for some time and getting fellow Larper Friends involved to help them become a reality.

As such, Legendary Larp now operates as a unincorporated association, with my officers being named as Liam McGrath, Ashley Cole and Rob Cain, all of whom assist with the plot writing, refereeing, logistics and operational needs of the games we run.

ABOUT LEGENDARY LARP

Legendary LARP originally began as a single game: "We Are Legends". However, after the success of the first game and encouraged by the growing interest in the second, myself and my team decided to expand into another game inspired by "Dark Arts and Magical Creatures" by Jon Henderson. As such, The Flamel Academy was born. From there, additional ideas for campaign games and one-off experiences have also been mentioned and are in the works and, due to the number of games and potential future events being plotted, it seemed only logical to run them all under a single name.

We also take other games under our banner and assist in the organisation and running of these events, thus making running a LARP game more accessible to those who have great ideas but need assistance on the event management side of things. One such game is "Gods and Monsters", which is the brainchild of UK larper Johanna Tooze and is being run under the Legendary LARP banner.

Legendary LARP runs entirely as not-for-profit, with the intention of providing yearly AGMs where all paying players are welcome to request a copy of the minutes from that meeting as well as submit questions to the meeting for discussion.

We have Public Liability & Employers Liability insurance provided to us under the LRP-Alliance insurance policy, held under the names of Kelly Poole and her game team.

Rob (aka Bad Omen)

Plot writer and referee for all Legendary LARP games, including being the main plot writer for The Flamel Academy. Rob is a writer at heart and we take full advantage of that, with Rob having written almost all of the textbook content for The Flamel Academy!

He loves roast dinners so, while not the easiest person to bribe, it's not impossible...
